Tse & Tse Little April Ginger Vase

Tinged with amber, the April Ginger Vase came into the world to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Marie-Claire Maison, and the 25th anniversary of the April Vase.

Created in 1991 by Sigolène Prébois and Catherine Lévy, the founder of Tsé & Tsé, a  French design studio known for its timeless design and quality craftsmanship, the April Vase is considered a classic where the Museum of Modern Art Georges Pompidou in Paris added the April Vase to its permanent collections in 1997.

Inspired by Japanese Ikebana, this vase magnifies the beauty of flowers by presenting each one in a separate tube. The April Vase is an articulated sculpture with a metallic structure and interlocking glass tubes that can be taken apart or to attached additional vases together.

The zinc protecting the metallic pieces is already slightly oxidized. Once in contact with water, it becomes matt, and a "white rust" veil, like frost, appears.

Made in France.
