Handcrafted by artisans in remote villages of the South Pacific.
The vines they use to construct these timeless and durable designs are called - "vignes d'eau" or water-vines - that only grow in remote mountain jungles. Difficult to reach and challenging to harvest, but very environmentally friendly due to its quick growth leaving no damage in their native forests.
Earnings from weaving help lift these artisans and their villages out of subsistence living and provide them with better food, health care, and transportation, improving education and infrastructure.
